Balloons Over Bagan takes you in complete comfort high above the region for 45 minutes at sunrise to see the majesty of the ancient temples that dot the landscape in all their splendor and safety.

All equipment is manufactured in the UK and all pilots and technicians are well experienced commercial balloon pilots and inspectors from UK, Belgium, Canada and Australia. Taking off each morning just before sunrise, we offer a choice of Premium or Classic service flights.

Oriental Ballooning is a 100% privately owned Myanmar Company, set up and run by reputable persons from the hotel & tourism industry in Myanmar, who run the Amata Hotel Group. For our first operating season, our capacity is 40 passengers per day in six balloons (two balloons with four passengers and four balloons with eight passengers).

Golden Eagle Ballooning is a boutique hot air balloon company, started from 23 November 2014 offers the commercial ballooning in Bagan to fill the needs of high demand for ballooning in our tourism industry. It is operating 3 types of Boutique Flights for you to choose from Classic, Premium & VIP, 5 balloons with a total capacity of 56 passengers with one sunrise flight per day of 45 minutes to 1-hour duration, depending on the wind speed and weather condition on that day.

Start flying early in the morning when the first gleams of the sunshine skims over the breath-taking landscape of Bagan. The whole region suddenly turns into a magical paradise for photographers to enjoy the experience of a life time over Bagan - home to the largest concentration of Buddhist temples, pagodas, stupas and ruins in the world with many dating from the 11th and 12th centuries.

5:00 AM to 5:30AM - The Anticipation

You will be picked up from your hotel, by our friendly staff, and brought to the launch site, in the comfort of our private air conditioned and well-maintained vehicle.

Around 5:30 AM - Meet Your Pilot & Balloon

Upon arrival at the launch site, you will be welcomed by your pilot in command and will be served with light breakfast. Your pilot in command will give you full safety briefing and flight instructions. Then, you can enjoy another round of coffee or tea while watching in awe as your balloon is inflated and prepared for flight. After the balloon is fully inflated and ready to fly, your pilot in command will invite you to board the balloon

Around 6:15 AM to 6:30 AM - Take-off!

And before you know it, you lift effortlessly into the air and begin your awesome journey. The air is cool and the view from above is simply magnificent.

Flying For About An Hour - Travelling With The Wind

You will take in mesmerizing view of majestic Bagan as you fly from just above treetop level and then up to higher levels, while travelling where the wind takes you. During the flight, your pilot will provide information on the history and significant temples of Bagan as well as explaining about ballooning. We aim to fly for about an hour (Depending on wind speed and direction on that day, 35mins to 1hr 20mins is possible).

Around 7:30 AM – The Return & Champagne Celebration

It is time to return to the loving arms of Mother Earth. Next, it's time to pack up and you will be presented a flight certificate by the pilot. At the conclusion of your once in a life time adventure, you will be presented with a commemorative champagne toast to cherish for years to come.
